No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
Both Democrats and Republicans have been guilty of violating this Civil Right – during the Civil War. Yes, Republicans (as Union soldiers) took over some large houses in the south, contrary to this part of the Bill of Rights. And, if you didn’t know that the Civil War was a war between the Democrats and Republicans, you probably attended public school.
